The fate of Lehman ("Lemon") Hart in the rum universe was decided nearly 50 years before he was born on 31th October 1768 in Penzance, Cornwall (United Kingdom).
It's in 1720 that his grandfather, a dynamic young dealer from Germany, began importing and marketing of rum from various Caribbean islands.
About 80 years later, Lemon Hart would transform the family business by creating an assembly of the best rums which earned him to be appointed by the Admiralty, the first official supplier of the British Royal Navy rum.
More than two centuries later, this legacy remains in each bottle of rum Lemon Hart, distilled in the purest respect for tradition since 1804.
